Stockton Lady Stallion Volleyball Tryout Information 2022

All athletes MUST have a 2022-2023 physical AND must be signed up in Rank One

Tryout dates: Monday August 15th – Thursday August 18th (Friday August 19th if needed)

  • 7th Grade Tryout Information
  • Students will need to be dropped off at 6:45AM in the back of the school
  • Practice starts at 7:00AM

Morning practice ends at 8:15AM

  • 8th Grade Tryout Information
  • Tryouts start after school at 4:15PM. Practice ends at 5:15PM
  • Car riders must be picked up from the back of the school
  • There is a late bus for those who need it. A late bus form must be completed before the start of school in order to ride. Satellite stops only.

Gym Attire for tryouts

Please wear athletic length black shorts, white t-shirt, athletic tennis shoes, knee pads and hair pulled back. No tank tops, spandex of any kind or jewelry.

 

Volleyball skills that will be tested are:

Passing, setting, overhand serving, game play and court awareness.

What to expect if you make the team

There will be 2 teams per grade level of 10 players per team: 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B

7th grade will practice every morning at 7:00AM except game days. Please arrive at 6:45AM

8th grade will practice afterschool every afternoon except game days. Practice ends at 5:15PM

Volleyball games days are Thursdays. Last game is on a Monday
