We want to make sure that everyone is aware of some changes coming to our upcoming football season.
First and foremost, the games scheduled for next Monday and Tuesday, August 28thÂ and 29thÂ have been cancelled. This is out of caution for the record-breaking heat, and to give our student athletes more time to get acclimated to playing in these conditions. We are currently coordinating with UIL to see if it is possible to reschedule these games for later in the season.
Since the second week of play was a set as a bye for Stockton there will also be no games on September 5thÂ and 6th. Our season will officiallyÂ begin on Monday and Tuesday, September 11thÂ and 12thÂ at McCullough. Please see theÂ scheduleÂ for the remaining games.
When games do resume, start times will be pushed back. A and B team games will now start at 6:30PM and 7:30PM. If we are able to field a C team, those games will also begin at 6:30 at an alternate location. Morning practice times will remain the same.
