Dr. Todd is Selected as Outstanding Principal of the Year for Region 6
Congratulations to Dr. Carlton Todd, Principal of Stockton Junior High School in Conroe has been selected as Texas Association of Secondary School Principals as Outstanding Principal of the Year for Region 6. TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the twenty region Education Service Centers in the state. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions. Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership. As a Region 6 winner, Dr. Todd is eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Principal of the Year.
Dr. Todd, a 5-year principal has headed the leadership team at Stockton Junior High School since November 2021. He attended Prairie View A&M University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Reading Education, a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and a Ph.D. in Education Leadership. Dr. Todd likes to do common things in an uncommon way. Dr. Todd sees himself as being a risk taker, a visionary, a trend setter and leader of learners. During his formative years in grade school, a principal took a chance on Dr. Todd, the class clown, seeing something in him that others did not. He tries to pay that forward each and every day, because winners always find a win, and Dr. Carlton Todd is definitely a winner.
Each of the region winners will be recognized during the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner held in conjunction with the TASSP Summer held each year in June. Each will be presented with an award and recognized in a commemorative book entitled Texas Principals, Texas Heroes.
