Math helps us become better problem solvers. Learning and practicing math builds the students critical thinking and reasoning skills. In order to succeed in all future math and science classes, the students will need to fully understand all concepts taught in algebra.

Eighth grade math builds on what the students learned about number sense, pre-algebra, and geometry, in seventh grade math. Eighth grade math, or pre-algebra, gives the student the building blocks to be successful in algebra and beyond.

Seventh grade pre-algebra builds on what the students learned in 6^th grade, incorporates 7^th grade curriculum and fully explores 8th grade curriculum to prepare students for algebra 1 and beyond.
