Stockton Junior High

Students will begin dressing in Physical Education uniforms for class activities on Monday, August 25th 2025 Maroon Day and Tuesday, August 26th Silver Day.

Physical education uniforms are required for all students. You can purchase your uniforms online on the CISD Stockton website. The website is:

You may also purchase your uniform from your PE teacher or Ms. Barrera or Mrs. Stiverson in the front office. Please bring $27 cash or make your checks payable to Stockton Junior High School. If you do not wish to purchase a uniform from the school, you may bring your own plain, athletic length black shorts and plain gray T-shirt from home. No short shorts, spandex, tights or leggings permitted. Students must provide their own gym shoes. Boots, sandals, slides and Sperry’s are not permitted on gym floor. Lockers are shared by 2 students. Towels are provided.

1. Students will dress for class every day. Dressing is not optional; it is mandatory! Students will lose points off of their grade each day they do not dress or refuse to dress for class.

2. Boys must wear shirts at all times, no matter inside or outside.

3. Shorts are to worn around the waist and shirts will be tucked in. Sagging is not permitted.

4. No excuses for not dressing. A written excuse from a parent/guardian will allow the student to sit out and not participate due to illness or injury. The written excuse from a parent if good for 2 class periods, however the student will still be expected to dress in their PE uniform and observe class.

5. If you are to be out of class for longer than 2 class periods, you must have a doctor's statement stating the date(s) that you are to be inactive and the date you can return to activity.

6. Lock all valuables in your lockers! Make sure that your name is on your uniform so that it can be returned to you if it is lost or stolen.

7. The students are responsible for washing their own uniforms.

8. No jewelry is allowed in class.

9. Long hair (both boys and girls) is to be pulled back in a ponytail for class.

10. NO HOODIES! Hoodies are not allowed in the gym and only allowed outside during cooler weather.

Weekly grades in Physical Education are based on:

• Participation (major grade)

• Dressing (major grade)

• Run/jog (daily grade)

• Test (daily grade, optional)
